Well, today I am officially into my second trimester! Yay. That means my morning sickness will go away, right? I certainly hope so. This last week it has lessened in duration but still comes on pretty strong. It's a bit like Russian Roulette. There is no pattern to the time or length it hits. I'll feel fine for an hour or two, then BAM! I hit that bullet and am sicker than a dog. The advantage to being sick consistently is that you can grow a bit sensitized to it. However, these spurts of feeling better have trampled that and leave me knowing just exactly how sick I am. I'm optimistically looking forward to next week and hoping to improve my diet and increase my exercise (because I definitely gained more than I wanted to in this nauseous mess, so I have some serious catching up to do). I'm a big believer in doing more work now so I will have less work to do later!
Next day: I'm happy to report that I experienced NO nausea the entire day. I was so excited to be able to function that I ran around doing laundry, scouring bathrooms, and cleaning my house. I went to the school to have lunch with each of my three oldest kids and I took my youngest to the dentist. It was great, until it all caught up to me! Now I feel horrendous because I've exhausted myself. Not nauseous, mind you. Just really, really bad. So note to self, if you're not nauseous tomorrow...pace yourself please.
